L LESSON PLAN
U UNIT 5: What´s the matter?
Specific Objective: Ss learn vocabulary about animal health problems and injuries through a dialogue by reading and listening at it and then act it in pairs.
LEVEL: 1st. grade/beginners
S SKILL: Listening, reading, writing and speaking.

Describing animal health injuries by using adjectives

PRE-TASK
Teacher presents the phrase “What´s the matter?, by writing it on the board, and showing them some pictures with injured animals, then asks them what´s the matter with them.
Ss should response about the animals´ problems for ex. The rabbit has a broken leg.
5mins.
Teacher shows them some slips of paper with a sentence related with a picture like:
Rex has got fleas. (Dog) Ss should answer according with the picture which animal has fleas.
Tom has got a broken wing. (parrot)
Max has got toothache. (hamster)
5mins.
Ss listen and read a dialogue about a visit to the vet.
2mins.

TASK
T writes some phrases on the board, which helps them use it in the dialogue.
T Allows some time for Ss to prepare for a dialogue in pairs, with their own pets
5mins.
TASK CYCLE
Ss prepare a visit to the pet by doing a dialogue and drawing with an injured pet.( 10mins.)
REPORT
Ss act their dialogue about a visit to the pet in front of the class. (10 mins.)
ANALYSIS
T asks ss to make groups of six to compare their information and analyze each dialogue between them. (5 mins.)
PRACTICE
T gives to the ss some exercises to fill in the blanks, most of the missing word are adjectives about injures. (5 mins.)

JHON: It´s tom my parrot.
VET: Oh, What´s wrong with him?
JHON: I thing he has got a broken wing.
VET: Really? How do you know?
JHON: He can fly.
VET: Let´s have a look at him.
